Jamboree on the Air 2015

KB4SA will be on the air again for Jamboree on the Air (JOTA) this year. Operations will begin at 0900 17 OCT from Black Creek Trail on Fleming Island. All scouting units that are interested in participating should contact Joe Bassett (KB4SA Advisor) at w1wcn@comcast.net.

Priority will be given to Scouts seeking to make contacts in fulfillment of merit badge requirements, but every effort will be given for all scouts to make a radio contact.

Last year, more than 50 contact were made throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe. This year promises to be even better.

Propagation, Phonetics and Prowords with Pack 128

ClayARES Training AEC Joe Bassett (W1WCN) visited Cub Scout Pack 128 to share the fun of amateur radio. Twenty Cubs and Webelos learned about propagation, phonetics and prowords. By all accounts everyone had a good time with plenty of questions answered and 5 states (Michigan, Texas, Indiana, Arkansas and Oklahoma) contacted.

KB4SA Jamboree On The Air – 10/19/2013

The location for KB4SA during the Jamboree on the Air will be at  Black Creek Park on Fleming Island, US17 South (the entrance is just north of Black Creek).

The operation will begin at 8:00AM and finish at 3:00PM.
